Due Season
Four years ago - or thereabouts - the Lord gave me this dream. I dream a lot and it's usually a message to be delivered or interceded over. This one was classified in both categories, which I was faithful to execute at that time. It is now time to re-execute the mandate of category one.
So - here I am, in my very late 40's, pregnant with a baby that must be 20 lbs if he's an ounce. I am surrounded by medical professionals and they all agree that a C-section is in order e.o. immediately. I kept hearing them speak, "The baby is too big!" "The baby is too big!" "This is a really BIG baby!"
Being the carrier of this really big baby, I was all for the C-section, that is, until a new Voice spoke into the crowd. This Voice was not urgent or commanding, yet the tone was authoritative, cutting through all of the earthly wisdom like a blue dot headlight in total darkness - "No. The baby is not ready, yet." The professionals did not seem to hear this Voice.
Great! Another situation where I'm the only one who hears the Voice and I have to stop this procedure, I think to myself. My next move is typical of me. I can't help it - I'm informational not only in output, but input. So, I ask the Voice, "Why? It's so big! Why should we wait?"
His response short-circuited any reasonable argument that a Christian could present. "Because we don't need another generation of unhealthy, co-dependent Christians."
WHAT A CONCEPT! To wait until the time for revival comes to full term - due season if you will, in order to give birth to a healthy generation of converts, fully developed and prepared for their destinies in Jesus. No life support needed. No early deaths due to underdevelopment. All of the advantages of healthy prenatal care will be afforded to this one, if we only let God have His way and stop trying to give birth to something before it's time.
OK. I'm re-telling this now because the birth pangs are really close together. In fact, I believe I'm seeing a Crown. This is no longer a warning or an explanation, but a declaration that the Kingdom of God is upon us. Feel the wind of revival blow on your face, breathe deep and push hard. You may be required to lay down your life for this one, but oh, what a privilege!

I can't say the dream sounds like fun, but I do like the message. And I think we've all been waiting for the fields to be "white unto harvest".
Time to call out the laborers. (Pun intended)
